Remote New Media awarded new commission from Volkswagen Group UK

Volkswagen Group UK first approached Remote New Media to design and develop a system to automate the annual stock count of all vehicles in the UK throughout the four retail brands, Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and Skoda, for commercial, retail and staff vehicles in 2005.

The resulting system collects data from various sources and collates it into a central database, compares it with the data held at head office in existing SAP and other stock control databases and reports any inconsistencies or anomalies. The resulting files are then exported to form the final stock count in summary reports and submitted to the Inland Revenue.

Following a review and restructuring of their internal systems RNM have been commissioned to bring the stock count system in-line for the next stock count in October.
