New portal launches

A bespoke development for My Jobs Place Ltd, RNM are delighted to announce the launch of a revolutionary new recruitment service myjobsplace.co.uk, which will launch today at the Nottingham Jobs Fair, Capital FM Arena.

Set to revolutionise the recruitment industry and dubbed a “superb new sort of Facebook for recruitment”, by Michael Hayman myjobsplace.co.uk enables employers to browse candidates on-line, make contact and book interviews without having to go through a traditional recruitment agency.

Designed and built by Remote New Media, myjobsplace.co.uk is radically different from traditional recruitment methods. Each candidate has a profile, video clip, CV and social network profiles online. Once registered employers are able to browse individual profiles and arrange meetings if desired. This approach dispenses with traditional recruitment agencies and enables employers and candidates to interact directly without the imposition of a third party.

Randeep Singh, Employment and Skills Project Manager at Nottingham City Council commented: “When myjobsplace came to see me I was very impressed by such a radical and different approach to recruitment. In tough economic times, it’s about getting job seekers in front of prospective employers and enabling them to show off their skills. The myjobsplace.co.uk service has the potential to do this on a large scale and cuts through the red tape, expense and bureaucracy of tired old recruitment methods”

myjobsplace.co.uk is founded by three experienced Nottingham-based business professionals. Online entrepreneur, Tim Richards is joined by two experienced senior business executives, Ian Grewcock and Paul Knight. Combined they have many years of business experience and have recruited over 500 people.

Ian Grewcock, Managing Director, myjobsplace.co.uk, comments: “For too long some recruitment agencies have got away with charging big recruitment fees for poor service to both candidates and clients. We believe this now has to change. Recruitment should be faster, cheaper and less bureaucratic.  Video is now common place across the internet and we believe it is time that recruitment caught up and enabled candidates and employers to meet virtually and get to know as much about each other as possible before any face to face meeting. As a group of experienced business directors not from the recruitment industry we have long since thought there has to be a better way to recruit people and have hopefully brought our experience together to offer a better service”
